April 29 in Baseball History: Andre Dawson Hits for the Cycle

April 29, 1987 – Andre Dawson went 5 for 5 for the Chicago Cubs in an 8-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Dawson scored a run, had 2 RBI, and hit for the cycle vs. Roger Mason, Greg Minton, Mike LaCoss, and Jim Gott. Check out the box score on Baseball Reference. Dawson is one of only 10 Cubs to have hit for the cycle in the team’s storied history.
